All CSS for default colors is found in the framework. The default email setup has a body background color of light gray #f4f4f4. The email table itself has cards or full-width rows that can have background colors of the default light gray, white .bg-white, dark gray .bg-gray or Dumbledore’s Robe Blue (DR) .bg-blue.

Rules

Text is dark gray if on a white or light gray background. Text is white if on a dark gray or DR background. DR can be used sparingly for text on white or light gray backgrounds.

Text links on a white or gray background should be DR. Text links on a dark gray background should be Pegacorn Mane Blue. Text links on a DR background should be white. All text links are underlined to ensure accessibility. The color modifier classes in the EDS framework can be used for text links (.blue, .white, .gray, .light-blue).

Any simple graphical elements, such as icons, should also be one of these colors.

Shasta Blue #5169b8 and Leslie Knope Pantsuit Blue #1b417f are not in the framework but are part of the larger SDS color library and may be added if needed.
